“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”

The Nietzche quote above is my favorite quote of all time.  Mostly because it reminds me of my faith.  I came to know Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior when I was eleven years old.  If you knew me when I was a teenager, you would not believe that.  That's the wonderful thing about grace...  when you are ready to come home, He is waiting there with open arms.  I rededicated my life to him when I was 22 years old, and my life has changed dramatically since then.  I love this quote because in my moments where I am so enthralled and overwhelmed by His glory and His presence, I wonder how anyone could doubt His goodness and His love...  then I remember, not everyone can hear the music.  My prayer is that those who cross my path may at least hear a small part of it, and want to know more.  That's my greatest goal in life.

I am married to a wonderful man with a beautiful testimony.  He is articulate, charismatic, loving, humble, kind..  the greatest husband and father that I have ever had the priviledge to know in my lifetime.  He is also a Minister of the gospel.
In 2016, we dropped everything and moved our family two hours away to live on campus at a Bible College in Western North Carolina.  My husband is currently working toward his degree in Pastoral studies, and all six of us are learning to live a life of ministry, in His service.  I am humbled to have the opportunity to serve God in such a great capacity.

I am a stay-at-home Mommy to four beautiful blessings.  For their own privacy, I will refer to them with blogger nicknames :)

Bella  is our oldest and my high schooler.  She enjoys painting, dancing, music and being near the ocean.
Sister is in 4th grade.  She loves animals with all of her heart, especially horses.  She also loves reading, art and playing the piano.

Brother is my 1st grader and our oldest son.  He loves books, and also loves sports.  He's a cool kid with a personality that its way bigger than he is!
Hero is the baby of the family.  He turned 3 this past summer.  He loves to run and enjoys super heroes, and its a little clone of his Daddy.

Another thing I should mention.  I'm a bit old fashioned.  I like old photographs, small moments, and faded memories.  I don't use social media, I have a love/hate relationship with my smartphone (and don't use notifications on it..  if you're wondering why I still haven't responded to that email :)  )  but I use it anyway because I'm miserably non-directional and terrible with money.  I'm very protective of the privacy of my family.  I am very intentional about protecting that- sometimes to a point that I seem overwhelming.  I apologize in advance, and thought I should at least forewarn you.
It's all those little quirks that make me who I am.   I enjoy writing and reading, and love home schooling my children.  I'm a huge fan of classic literature, and my weakness is frappes.  I'm a curriculum junkie and love to try new things.  I'm introverted and slightly socially awkward, but I do love people and love being around others.  I enjoy working with and mentoring young women, and I also have a deep love for photography.   I enjoy science fiction and football season.   I enjoy quiet time and space, but honestly never get it so I don't require it (we currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment, my family of six..  that's right!)   I love and appreciate good food- but I'm not a very good cook, and I'm praying that is something God will help me to learn to be!  I'm laid back, easy to get along with, and enjoy the beach more than any place in the world.  I love my family..  fiercely and passionately, and I live this life with a lot of conviction about me- because that's who I am, and I love that about me.  He made me that way.
I hope someone can find some inspiration here, or at least appreciate the fact that I let my vulnerability down long enough to share.  If your'e reading, I love you..  really I do..  because again- that's just who I am.  I love people.  A lot.

Thank you for reading, I look forward to getting to know you...  may God bless you!!!
