hello

Hello!!!
Welcome to Intentional Mommyhood!

First and foremost..  God knocked on my heart when I was a very young girl.  Thankfully, when I was older, I didn't depart from it.  Jesus Christ is my personal savior, and my whole life.  I love Him, and hope to please Him in the way that my life is lived.  My husband says frequently, sometimes you may be the only Bible that some people will ever read.  I hope my life speaks well of my Lord!

I am a thirty-something southern gal, who was raised and met the man of my dreams in the North Carolina mountains.  We were still kids when we got married, and are thankful that the mess of life we made in our early years together has bloomed into such an incredible and impactful relationship.  He's my best friend, my confidant, my closest companion, my better half, my pastor, my mentor..  this guy is my whole world.  He submitted to his call to ministry almost four years ago.  That call has led us on an incredible journey..  from living in a small apartment with our big family while in Bible college, to moving us to the other side of the state, where he now pastors a church in Eastern NC, six hours from where we called home.  Our life of ministry has been one of stepping out on faith, and incredible blessings.  I'm thankful for each moment, and for the call to live each moment intentionally.

Stephen :)  My Husband, My Pastor, My Best Friend...  the Love of my Life.

Before I became a Mommy, I didn't really think about living life with intention.  I didn't think about how I spent my moments.  However, I became a Mommy very young in life, and with Motherhood becomes a feeling that your heart is walking around outside of your body.  This makes you desire to spend your days and to live them well.  To remember moments and soak them in.  To see someone that you love more than you imagined possible to love grow right before your eyes in days and minutes..  that tugs at your heart strings.  A life well lived is one that is lived intentionally...  which means on purpose.  Not one that you simply glide through, letting happen what may.  With deep intention to feel it, to breathe it in.  To remember it, and look back without wishing you would have lived more deeply.  Motherhood called me to be intentional, hence my blog, intentional Mommyhood.

I am a stay-at-home Mommy to four beautiful blessings.  We are a homeschooling family and love every moment we are together.  They are my inspiration to be a better person.  To be a light in a dark world.  I would not be who I am today without these four amazing souls that God has given me to shepherd.  I'm forever grateful for them!

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope I can use this space to inspire as well as to tell our story of faith and ministry.  To give you a piece of my heart, that perhaps can speak to yours.  Thank you so much for stopping by!
