Happy Homemaker Monday! 5.14/18

Hello there!  I'm joining this week over at Dairy of a Stay at Home Mom for one of my favorite
link-ups!   Hope this finds you all doing well!
It was a fantastic Mother's day weekend!  My Mom visited and it was so nice to have her
here with me!  This is my first Mothers day a few hundred miles away from home, so it was such a blessing that she could be here by my side!  We had a great beach day on Friday, a wonderful birthday party for my boy on Saturday, and a blessed Sunday at church where my husband preached an awesome Mothers day message!  So I consider it an amazing day, and consider myself so very blessed!  So without further ado, Happy Homemaker Monday guys!

Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather.....
Hot!  LOL but I'm not complaining!  It was in the 90s over the weekend which made for a great beach day and a nice pool day on Saturday and Sunday after church!  I think I'm starting to look at least a little bit less pale!  That's ALWAYS a good thing!

Right now I am....
Writing my post way later than usual!  This morning started off with a bang.  We have a few loose ends to tie up to finish up school for the rest of the year!  We are winding down and looking very forward to being all finished up and having some time off for the summer...

Thinking....
It's supposed to rain for the rest of the week!  Which means no more beach/pool days but perhaps it will be a golden opportunity to wrap the school year up!

On my reading pile....
My Mom recommended a book to me and I borrowed it on my kindle and I'm loving it! It's called Prince Crossing (The Blackberry County Chronicles Book 3)*affiliate link!* and I highly recommend it!

On my TV.....
I actually have not been watching any shows at all until today.  I did watch part one of the Once finale.  I am kind of lost because I've not watched most of the season, and I didn't like it very much...  but I've watched most of the show so I need to know how it ends!

Something Interesting I watched.....Really didn't watch anything this weekend, we were out with the family for a picnic and little trail walk and then yesterday we just hung out at home.

On the menu for this week....
Monday -  Hawaiian Jerk flavored Chicken, mashed potatoes, beans
Tuesday - Baked Tilapia, macaroni with tomato sauce, brocooli
Wednesday - Hamburger Helper Cheeseburger macaroni
Thursday - Teriaki chicken, rice and green beans
Friday -  Salmon cakes, potatoes and beans
Saturday -  Finger foods (Couples meeting)
Sunday - Spaghetti

On my to do list....
Make a study guide for my kiddos for the end of the year achievement tests!  Just some review things.  Work on some photos and upload some more sermons to our church website.  It looks really good!  A work in progress!  I also have a couple of blog entries I've worked on and not yet posted, but we shall get there!

In the craft basket....
I'm working on some photos that I took a long time ago..  I'm such a slacker!  I'm also working on ordering photos, I really need to do some work on our photo albums!  And decorating...  I really want to plant some flowers and spruce up the porch now that all of our windows officially have curtains on them!  So proud!

Looking forward to this week....
Spending some time reading!   Relaxing and wrapping up school for the year..  and working out.  I didn't really maximize my workout last week, I'm praying hard and hoping that this week I can do a lot better!  Here's my my weekly weigh in is here, I'm trying to share this weight loss journey!  It's not easy to be that vulnerable, but I'm hoping in being this way I will be able to share my heart and encourage others!

Looking around the house....
Actually it looks pretty good!  Everyone pitched in to make the house look great yesterday, and today we've been outside most of the day, so it looks pretty fantastic!

From the camera....
It was a wonderful sort of weekend!  I also found out that my eleven year old is a pretty fantastic cake decorator as we made our first ever birthday cake at home!  It looked AMAZING!  I was so proud of her!
