Happy Homemaker Monday, April 17

Hi friends!

Joining with the wonderful Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom :)  Join the party!

   Monday already- again?  How did that happen so quickly?  Seems like we blink and another week is over.  Somedays I'm ready for time to go by...  when we have that moment of warm I can't wait for May or June.  Yet in the afternoons when I curl up with my boy and sing "Rainbow connection" to my littlest boy who is almost five and almost out of the world of naps, I want it to slow waaaay down.  I'm thankful for those moments.  In the midst of the chaos of finishing up a school year- beating myself up about all the things I didn't accomplish this year, and praying that we get enough in in a couple of months to make the tests at least bearable for my kiddos..  its a nice reminder that sometimes we need to slow down a bit.
   So here we are, another Happy Homemaker Monday..  even though not all Monday's I consider myself a "Happy" homemaker.  This offers me a chance to slow down and share with friends...  and center, and just breathe!  Hope you all have had a wonderful week, and I look forward to catching up!

The weather
   Friday and Saturday were GORGEOUS.  We sat in the sun, played in the yard...  picked flowers and sat on the beach while the kids- believe it or not, actually splashed in the water, in April!  It was beautiful!!!!  I can't wait for beach days!  Today its quite cooler...  around 60.  I'm still thankful though since my family and friends in the mountain are getting snowed on!  It's supposed to be in this weather all week.  Please, 70s, please come back!

What I'm reading::
  I restarted the "Made to Crave" devotional this morning as well as "My Utmost for His Highest."  Also, currently reading and LOVING "Hands Free Mama" by Rachel Macy Stafford.

On my tv::
   Ya'll.  I REALLY need something to watch while I'm on the treadmill.  I've struggled finding something that isn't too slow to keep me running, yet too quick to keep my interest.  Please give me some suggestions!!!!  Lost currently, but my sisters says she stopped watching it because it wasn't feel good, which I can def see.  Suggestions friends, suggestions!

Menu - planning
Monday -  My husband is preaching revival, and the church will be feeding us

On my to-do list
   It's going to be a long week!  My husband was asked to preach a revival about an hour out of town.  So we will be going there for the first three days of the week!  Also my daughter gets her braces on tomorrow, pray for her!  Her spacers were painfulf or her for a couple of days, she's nervous but she knows it'll be worth it.  We also have church Thursday, a birthday party Friday and couples meeting on Saturday.  Oh my!

What I am knitting, crocheting and crafting
  I'm going to attend a paint party next Monday, I'm excited about that!  Other than that, no artwork for me lol.

Looking forward to
Warm days, hearing my husband preach, sleep! Lol I'm awfully tired since its 10:15 and I'm finishing up this post I started earlier!

Simple pleasures
  Naptimes with my boys..  their toys in different places around the house.  Warm spring days when you can sit in the yard and have a conversation with your Mom in law :)
