This has been one busy summer indeed!!!!
On June 4, 2017, my husband delivered his first message as Pastor of Soundside Missionary Baptist Church. It was surreal, and amazing. We have imagined this since we first came to Fruitland. It has been in the back of our minds.. but we never had any idea exactly what it was going to be like. It has far surpassed anything we could have ever imagined! The church is amazing, the people are loving... the community is beautiful and a close knit group of people. It's more than we could have ever imagined. We are so so very blessed!!!
Sawyer was traveling on the day of his 4th birthday. To make it extra special, we made a detour at Build a Bear, where he finally got that storm trooper! I believe it was a day he won't forget!
and since the church is a short drive to Nags Head, I took my boy to the beach, and he was in his happy place! What a great way to spend his birthday!!!
We spent some time in the mountains with family... and enjoyed a park day with our Norie bug!
On June 16th, we packed a uhaul and left our home in Fruitland. It was so bittersweet. As much as we were excited about the new chapter of our lives, there are SO many amazing memories we were leaving behind in that little apatment. There was so much life there, so much growth. So much learning to live on faith, spending time as a family.. and just enjoying life together. I'm so thankful for the time that we spent at Fruitland, and always will be.
God blessed us abundantly with both hands when we arrived here! The house was beautiful, so much more than I could have ever imagined! We are moving from a 2br apartment into a 5br farmhouse. It is beautiful in every way. Our little coastal community on our beloved Outer Banks is beautiful, and we are so thanful and greatful for the amazing things that God has done in our lives!!!
On June 25, I celebrated being married to this amazing preacher man for 11 years! I'm so greatful for him and the life that we share together!
Above and beyond anything I could have imagined, God has poured blessings into our lives. I'm excited to serve our charge, and thankful that of all the places we could be, God chose this place. It's wonderful!
